Description

An overshirt is a heavier, more structured shirt designed to work as an outer layer, like a light jacket. Fabric has a major effect on the final look: fine wool and wool blends are polished enough for corporate settings, while corduroy and heavier cotton twills are more utilitarian. The design includes a two or four pocket front, exposed front buttons, and a pointed or camp collar. It’s especially useful when you want more than a shirt but less than a jacket, but whatever you do, don't call it a shacket. It's a big shirt.
